Castle View Deli
2 Morgan Avenue, Greenwich CT, 203.531.5353
Castle View was started by former Greenwich resident, Louis Spiro – a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America – who prides himself on making dishes from scratch. We like the roast beef (with herb cheese & horseradish spread) and the turkey and Münster (with cole slaw & Thousand Island dressing).

Glenville Pizza (Pizza)
243 Glenville Road, Glenville CT, 203.532.1691
Glenville residents, as well as people all over town (including our son), love Glenville Pizza. It is one of the few places serving by the slice. They were one point from winning the town pizza contest. No deliveries. Only large pizzas. No credit cards, but they will accept a local check.
Hours: Open everyday 10am – 10pm.
Size: Seats 26.
Bambou (Japanese, Asian)
328 Pemberwick Road (at the Mill), Glenville CT, 203.531.3322
Tucked inside the Mill is a unique Japanese restaurant – a treat for the eye and the palette. The entrees are presented with an artistic flair. The red and black decor is New York edgy, but dining is comfortable here. We recommend the mango jicama salad and sweet potato tempura roll.

Centro Ristorante (Italian)
323 Pemberwick Road (at The Mill), Glenville CT, 203.531.5514
Bright, cheery, and popular, with an unpretentious atmosphere. Just right when you hunger for pizzas or homemade pastas and a glass of wine from their extensive list. In the summer, request the outdoor patio overlooking the waterfall and order their Ravioli Centro or chicken-pear salad. Some of our friends go just for the desserts. Child-friendly with crayons and a kid’s menu. We wouldn’t recommend their burgers.
Hours: Open Monday – Thursday 11:30am – 10pm, Friday & Saturday 11:30am – 10:30pm, Sunday 4:30pm – 9pm.
Prices: Lunch $9 – $14; Dinner entrees $17 – $22; kids menu $4 – $9; wine by the glass $8 – $11.
Size: seats 120 inside & 50 on the patio.
Rebecca’s (New American)
265 Glenville Road, Glenville CT, 203.532.9270
This Manhattan-chic restaurant run by a husband and wife team is tucked in southwestern Greenwich. It serves modern American cuisine with a French flair. Rebecca Kirhoffer has assembled a sophisticated wine list to match her husband Chef Reza Khorshidi’s awesome food. No wonder they were awarded CT Magazine’s best contemporary chef. The restaurant has a sleek minimalist-modern look, complete with a large window that allows you to see the kitchen. Although there is some sound proofing, with all the hard surfaces it can be noisy.
Hours: Lunch, Tuesday – Friday 11:30am – 2:30pm; Dinner, Tuesday – Thursday 5pm – 9:30pm, Friday & Saturday 5pm – 10:30pm.
(Be sure to make a reservation in advance, although you might be able to drop in and eat at the bar.)
Prices: Lunch entrees about the same as the dinner entrees; Dinner entrees $40 – $145 (most entrees are in the $40s); wine by the glass $10 – $60 (most $10 – $20).
Size: seats 74.
